A little rubber duck history.
The first-ever rubber duck was made in the 1800s. The first rubber duck was not for baths and didn't float at all! It was made as a chew toy for babies and dogs. The first bath toy rubber duck was made in 1931 by Eleanor Shannahan; it was made to float and spit water out of its mouth. In 1947, a sculptor named Peter Ganine made a rubber duck that had a squeaker in it. Since then, rubber ducks have dressed up as almost everything! Well, that's all I got for you!
